Product Specialist, BreakersSandvik Mining and Rock Technology is one of the three Business Areas within Sandvik Group and a leading supplier of equipment and tools, services, support and technical solutions for the mining industry and specialist sectors such as quarrying, tunneling, demolition, dimensional stone, recycling and the civil engineering industry. SMRT's offering covers drilling and mechanical cutting, loading and hauling, crushing and screening, demolition and recycling, and various solutions to increase automation. Business Unit Breakers, part of the Crushing and Screening Division, engineer and manufacture industry leading hydraulic hammers and other hydraulic attachments for maximum productivity. We offer advanced, proven solutions for any rock breaking and demolition challenges. We are now looking for a proactive Product Specialist for BU Breakers. This is a permanent position and based preferably in Lahti, Finland.
As Product Specialist, Breakers, you will be responsible for coordinating and developing product support on the front line, as well as, training frontline technical personnel. You will share feedback and information between the dealer/customer to the factory and support the sales team with product issues. You will take care of daily product support for the frontline in cooperation with other Product Specialist and create and develop technical trainings and training materials. The Product Specialist will be expected to travel up to 30% of the time.
Your skills and qualifications
Apart from holding a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and at least five years of relevant industry (construction and/or mining) experience, you possess a strong technical aptitude and good understanding of hydraulics. You have well-developed knowledge and understanding of the attachment business, and experience with breakers and excavators is highly desirable. Your problem-solving skills are first-rate, as are your analytical skills, both of which allow you to easily map the customer and frontline needs and convey the message back the product area.
Your communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) are excellent, and you are a strong team player, dedicated to open communication and collaboration. You have demonstrated experience in service and customer relations, and are highly customer focused, with a keen understanding of what is needed to deliver to top-notch service and support to customers. Your well-developed multi-cultural understanding enables you to interact comfortably with global colleagues and customers. Fluency in English is required and being bilingual in Finnish or German would be a plus.
